Scout Spirit Award
The Scout Spirit Award is presented to Cub Scouts who consistently go above and beyond in demonstrating the values of the Scout Law in both words and actions. These Scouts set a strong example for others and embody the true spirit of Scouting in their everyday lives—at home, in school, in their community, and within their Pack. They are recognized not only for their participation, but for the character, kindness, and leadership they show through thoughtful actions, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to doing what is right. Their dedication to service and character uplifts their Pack and inspires others to follow their lead.
Examples of Going Above and Beyond
- Volunteers to help others without being asked
- Models honesty and responsibility, even when it’s difficult
- Demonstrates leadership by encouraging or assisting younger Scouts
- Completes tasks cheerfully and thoroughly
- Takes initiative to clean up, organize, or offer help at events
- Lives by the Scout Law daily—not just during Pack meetings
These Scouts exemplify the twelve points of the Scout Law: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
Nominate A Scout
The Scout Spirit Award honors Cub Scouts who consistently go above and beyond in living the values of the Scout Law. To ensure we recognize Scouts who truly exemplify these principles, we invite parents and den leaders to submit nominations through a simple process:
Fill out the Scout Spirit Award Nomination form. You’ll be asked to provide:
- Your name and role (parent or leader)
- The Scout’s name and den
- Which point of the Scout Law you are nominating them for (pick 1)
- A brief description of how the Scout goes above and beyond in living this specific point of the Scout Law
- Specific examples of their action(s) or attitude
- Any additional comments or stories you’d like to share
All submissions will be reviewed by Pack leadership. Selected Scouts will be recognized at an upcoming Pack meeting or event.
