What Is A Den?

In Cub Scouts, a Den is a small group of Scouts who are the same grade level and rank. It’s the core unit within a Cub Scout Pack. Each Den includes up to 12 scouts and a Den Leader (usually a parent volunteer).

Here’s how it works:
-Dens meet regularly, usually once or twice a month.
-They work on adventures and requirements specific to their rank (like Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos).
-Den meetings are focused on hands-on activities, teamwork, learning new skills, and having fun.
-Multiple Dens together forms the Pack.

So, the Den is like your Scout’s small team within the bigger Cub Scout family.
